Quantity breaks on Shopify — the checkout-safe way

Quantity breaks — “buy 2 save 10%, buy 3 save 20%” — are the simplest way to lift average order value: you reward the shopper for buying a bigger pack, and they self-select the tier. The only thing that matters is that the discount the shopper sees is the discount they’re charged.

How it works

The widget shows a tier for each pack size, each with the discounted price, the struck-through regular price, and an optional badge (“Most popular”, “Best value”). Discounts can be a percentage or a fixed amount off per unit. Selecting a tier sets the quantity; the theme’s own Add to cart adds it.

Checkout-safe, not just on the page

• JS-only apps change the price in the browser. If the cart is edited or the currency switched, the storefront price and the charged price can drift apart.
• Profit Flow AOV Bundle enforces the tier with a Shopify Discount Function at checkout — server-side, fail-closed. What you see is what you pay.

Set it up

1. Install Profit Flow AOV Bundle.
2. Create a Quantity breaks offer and add a tier for each pack size (set the percentage or fixed amount, a label, and an optional badge).
3. Add the app block to your product page in the theme editor and publish — enforced at checkout, on any theme.
