How it works

When a shopper selects a multi-unit tier (2+, non-BOGO) on a product that has variants, the widget renders one dropdown per unit directly under that tier. The shopper picks a shade or size for each; the theme’s own Add to cart adds the mixed pack.

Why the discount still holds

The Shopify Discount Function counts the product’s total quantity, not matching variants — so a 3-pack made of three different shades still unlocks the 3-unit tier, and the discount is enforced at checkout. The shopper gets variety; you keep the AOV lift.
