How to create product bundles on the Horizon theme (checkout-safe)

Horizon is Shopify’s newer flagship free theme — a highly flexible, section-and-block system built to give merchants far more editor control than earlier defaults. It suits fashion, apparel and general stores that want to shape their own layout. This guide shows how to create product bundles on the Horizon theme and keep them checkout-safe, with no code and no checkout edits.

Horizon’s flexibility is its selling point, and it works in your favour here: you can position a quantity offer precisely where shoppers decide to buy.

Two ways to bundle on Horizon

Shopify’s native Bundles app groups separate products into a fixed set — a good fit for a curated kit sold as one SKU. It’s checkout-native but it spawns a new bundle product; it won’t add “buy more, save more” pricing to the pages you already have.

A product-page bundle widget — like the free Profit Flow AOV Bundle — adds the offer to the product a shopper is already viewing: BOGO, 3-for-2, or tiered volume discounts. On a layout-flexible theme like Horizon, this is usually what you want, because you control exactly where the offer sits.

Setting it up on Horizon

Horizon is built around flexible sections with extensive editor customization, and app blocks mount into the product template through that editor.

1. Install Profit Flow AOV Bundle from the Shopify App Store.
2. Open Online Store → Themes → Customize and select a product template.
3. In the product section, click Add block, choose the Profit Flow block, and drag it near the add-to-cart button.
4. Configure your offer — buy 2, get 1 free or a x2 / x3 / x5 volume ladder.
5. Save. The block inherits Horizon’s typography and spacing.

Horizon ships without a native bundle or quantity-offer widget, so there’s nothing to disable and no risk of showing two competing offers. Take advantage of Horizon’s placement freedom: put the block immediately below the variant picker, where intent is highest.

Keep it checkout-safe

Most bundle failures happen at the last step. A script-based widget can display “3rd one free” on the product page, but Shopify’s checkout can’t be rewritten by app JavaScript — so the discount can silently disappear and the shopper pays full price.
